Our water-in-tube solar collector operates under a simple convection principle. Water enters the bottom of the square manifold inlet and leaves at the top of the manifold. The flow inside the glass tubes is indicated with the arrows. The flow in the tubes is naturally driven by convection, as the walls of the tubes are hot due to the solar irradiation. |
